It helps detect lymph node enlargement, shape, internal structure, and other indicators that may suggest inflammatory or oncological conditions.
How is Lymph Node Ultrasound Performed?
During the examination, the patient lies down or sits, depending on the area being examined. A gel is applied to the skin, and the doctor uses an ultrasound probe to scan the lymph nodes — most commonly in the neck, armpits, groin, or other regions. The images are analyzed in real time to assess the size, shape, and internal structure of the lymph nodes. The procedure usually takes 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the scope of the area examined and whether in-depth analysis is needed.

This examination allows for the evaluation of:
